About

VS Psychology is an independent educational psychology practice based in Jersey, led by Vivienne Scott-Johnston, HCPC registered educational psychologist. With over 20 years' experience in education and children's services across the UK, internationally and in Jersey, Vivienne specialises in the assessment of Specific Learning Difficulties affecting literacy and numeracy. Assessments are tailored to each child or young person and aim to develop a clear understanding of their individual strengths, areas of difficulty and learning profile. Assessment may include consideration of developmental and educational history, previous reports, examples of school work, standardised assessment where appropriate, and professional judgement. This assessment approach is informed by recognised professional frameworks, including the principles outlined in the Scottish Government's publicly available Addressing Dyslexia Toolkit and Addressing Dyscalculia Toolkit. Reports provide practical, evidence-informed recommendations to support children and young people, families and schools. VS Psychology is a registered business in Jersey and registered with the Jersey Office of the Informational Commissioner (JOIC). Private assessments are undertaken independently of Vivienne's employed role as Practice Development Lead within CAMHS Jersey. To avoid any actual or perceived conflict of interest, VS Psychology cannot accept referrals for children or young people who are currently open to CAMHS Jersey.
